What You Must Have to Apply:

• BCom Accounting degree
• Articles of clerkship completed
• Knowledge of creditors recons and debtors collections
• Extensive knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting
• Proficient in MS Office, with emphasis on MS Excel – Intermediate
• Proficient with accounting software such as Pastel
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
• Pleasant personality, driven individual with a “make-it-happen” work ethic
• Be able to interact and communicate effectively on all levels
• South African Citizenship, Clear Criminal Record, Valid Driver’s License *please note that candidates will be subjected to relevant screening processes in line with the functions and risks contained within the position

Some of What You Will be Doing:

• Performs general accounting functions and other related duties in the accounting department
• Adequate SARS management, journals, daily cashflow forecast, assist in audit and group reporting
• Maintain the general ledger
• Reconcile customer accounts and manages accounts receivable collections
• Provide external auditors with assistance; gathers necessary account information and documents to perform annual audit
• Prepare daily cash flow forecast
• Create management reports
• Assist with monthly management accounts
• Maintain the fixed asset register
